MY ROLE AS A THERAPIST
I see myself as a compassionate witness to your unfolding story—someone who holds space for all parts of you to be seen and honored. Rather than focusing on symptoms or diagnoses, I recognize unhelpful patterns as intelligent adaptations that once served you well. My role is to help you reconnect with your body's wisdom, befriend the protective parts of yourself, and cultivate a gentler inner dialogue.
I approach our work through an attachment-informed lens, understanding that healing happens within relationships. The safety we build together becomes a sanctuary where you can explore, experiment, and expand into who you're becoming. I'm here to remind you of your strengths and cultivate a space of curiosity and self-discovery.
MY APPROACH TO HELPING
I hold space for you to show up as your most authentic self. All parts of you are welcome here, as you learn to let go of the practices and patterns that no longer serve you and strengthen your inner trust. Together, we lay the groundwork for your innate wisdom to emerge and guide you toward a life that feels deeply meaningful and authentically yours. I know that you are the expert of your own experience—I am grateful to be on this journey with you as you rediscover your natural capacity for healing and growth.
My approach is grounded in deep reverence for the therapeutic relationship we build together. I don't see myself as someone who heals for you, but as a witness and companion as you reclaim the parts of yourself that have been silenced, shamed, or forgotten. Together, we explore what your nervous system is trying to tell you, honor the wisdom of your survival strategies, and invite your full, authentic self back home.
About Me
I’m a queer therapist, Highly Sensitive Person, and Atlanta native who believes that curiosity is one of life's greatest gifts. I’ve invested in my own work through therapy, intentional movement, and mindfulness to reconnect to my intuitive and embodied self, all of which impacts my approach as a therapist. My practice is deeply rooted in feminist, anti-oppressive, and sex-positive values—spaces where authenticity isn't just welcomed but celebrated. I'm committed to ongoing learning, both through the wisdom shared by LGBTQIA+ communities and through continuing education that keeps my practice evolving.
I am a lifelong learner. Dissatisfied with various career attempts and influenced by my own meaningful experience with therapy, I went back to school to pursue a career as a therapist. I’m trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, and somatic approaches. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music and French from Davidson College and Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia.
In my personal life, I'm drawn to the same curiosity that guides my professional work. I believe in the power of questions over answers, in the beauty of becoming over the pressure of arriving, and in the radical act of accepting ourselves exactly as we are while remaining open to growth. In my free time, you can find me listening to audiobooks, knitting, or watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the millionth time.
